Easter Recycled Tin Can Pen Holder

Easter Recycled Tin Can Pen Holder

We are approaching the Holy Week and we will not be blogging during this time. I’d like to wish everybody a peaceful Holy Week with your family and friends.

Sometimes in life we have to face challenging situations, but when we remember what God has given us the hope for overcoming all difficult situations, then life seems more manageable. I think that the Holy week should be a time for reflection and time to say thank you for all we have in our lives, and a time to share what we have.

My last crafts idea for Easter is this simple tin can recycled pen holder.

Recycled tin can pen holder

What you need:

Tin can, lollipop sticks, yellow and white acrylic paint, Hi-Tack glue, yellow ribbon.

How you do it:

First you have to paint the lollipop sticks in this case with yellow and white acrylic paint and let them dry.( you can find already painted colored lollipop sticks in craft shops) but we had fun painting them.

Attach the lollipop sticks on your tin can  with Hi-Tack glue and let dry.

Finally tie your yellow ribbon.

Washi Tape Easter Card

Washi Tape Easter Card

I and my daughter decided to make some Easter cards  which she  can give to her friends at school. But we wanted to make these cards with resources that we already have at home. I remembered that for  Christmas     using some ribbons in a collage I made a  Candy Decoration so I decided  to do the same with my Easter card. But instead of using ribbons we used some washi tape which I bought a while ago. They are very pretty and charming.

What you need:

A4 white card paper, Washi tape, A4 yellow card paper, Scissors,Glue.

How to do it:

Easy: draw or download a shape of an egg from Google images, attach the stripes of washi tape on your yellow card. Cut out the shape of the egg and attach to your white card paper making an Easter card.

Easter Cookies

Easter Cookies

Due to the weather conditions there was no school today here in South England, I decided to make some cookies with an Easter themed cutter. I know this is a very simple recipe and you can make about 15 cookies.

Colored Tin Foil Easter Card

Colored Tin Foil Easter Card

My daughter’s friends shared this idea for an Easter card, that they found on internet. Actually I saw some flower pictures in the past made with tin foil colored with sharpie markers but now sharpie markers become  very popular with the children.

What you need:

A piece of tin foil, sharpie markers, scissors, A4 card paper, Hi-tack glue.

How to do it:

First draw the shape of an egg on your card, then squeeze enough glue to produce some shapes in relief when it dries, shapes  like waves, circles, triangles, lines or whatever shape that fancies you. I used wavy lines within an Easter Egg template. Make sure that the glue dries completely.

When it is completely dry, gently press the tin foil onto the card+glue, by doing this you will transfer the shape from the card+glue to your tin foil.

Now you can cut out your egg shape and color it with your sharpie marks.

Easter Egg Watercolor Card

Easter egg Watercolor Card

This is good activity for Easter Holidays to let the children have fun with watercolor. It is very easy to do, you can make amazing cards with different patterns.

What you need:

A4 watercolor paper, paint brush, watercolor paints (I used lemon yellow, crimson, sap green), water, coarse salt.

How to do it:

First wet you watercolor paper, then you can start to paint using the color of your choice.

When you finish painting, sprinkle some salt on your watercolor paint paper and let it dry completely. When it is dry, take the salt off and cut the shape of an egg.
