I think that everybody knows how to make this float paper boat. It is one of the first folding paper that everyone learns as a child and it is so simple. For this float boat I used a vintage map wrap paper, straw and blue tissue paper for the flag.
Below you have the tutorial for this very popular paper float boat.
Take a rectangular piece of A4 paper and fold in half and fold in half again.
Then fold on the two sides as you can see in the pictures below.
Fold the edges; one towards you and one away from you. This will allow you to “open up” the triangle into the “classical paper hat” shape.
Pull open to have the shape of a hat. Pull it completely until the two corners that were first opposite (left and right in the picture) now touch each other.
Pull until it is flat again. Now you have a square shape as shown in the picture below.
Take the both lower corner of the square and fold it upwards to touch top corner diagonally opposite. You now have the triangular shape below.
Open your triangular shape as you can see below.
Then start to pull the outer corners.
Pulling out the corners you start to see the boat.
